Love the concept of Sprint ID but not so fond of either the Transform, Optimus S, or Zio? Sprint's got you covered, announcing that they'll be bringing their theming packs to both the Samsung Epic 4G and the upcoming Galaxy Tab. Unfortunately, Sprint failed to say exactly when Sprint ID will be coming to the Epic, but since the Galaxy Tab won't even be out until November 14th, it'll likely be preloaded on all of the tablets sold.
When Sprint originally announced their theming add-on, it was assumed that only low and mid-range products would be given the opportunity to install ID packs. Now we know that that's not the case, and I'm actually kind of surprised. I would've never guessed that Samsung would allow Sprint ID on the Epic, considering that Samsung already has their TouchWiz skin running on top of Android. Maybe this will be a way for Epic owners to get something closer to a more stock Android experience? Sure, some may think think that Sprint ID is bloatware, but if it gives me the option to install different-looking skins and get close to vanilla Android, I'm all for it.
