That's right, the near forgotten myTouch that release just last year has finally got a serving of its very own Froyo. Very late to the party, the myTouch Android 2.2 update process is now underway through T-Mobile. Unfortunately, the update is only for the original myTouch 3G, not the 3.5mm headphone jack versions or the Fender edition. According to Engadget, the details pertaining to the different editions of the myTouch 3G are due "in the coming weeks," but we all know how that goes.
Some myTouch users can confirm that they have, in fact been updated to the official version, but it appears as if the roll-out is turning out to be a very slow process. Be patient, the tasty treat that is Froyo is well worth it. The myTouch version of Froyo is a very stock looking version of Android, and if you're curious or want to see what all of the hype is about, you can read my Froyo review here. If you have received the update, let us know, and tell us how you like it. Welcome to the Froyo party myTouch 3G users!
