BlackBerry Storm 3 appears in Verizon systems

The BlackBerry Storm 3 is like of those horror movie killers from the '80s: it's alive, then you think it's dead, and then you learn that it's alive again.  Last month we heard that the Storm 3 had been canned by VZW, but a recent rumor suggested that the phone was very much alive and would be released in November.  Now the device has shown up in a Cellebrite, the machine that Verizon uses to transfer contacts between handsets.  We still don't know for sure if a BlackBerry 6-toting Storm 3 will arrive in November, if at all, but things are certainly starting to look up.

I have a feeling that Verizon is going to end up releasing the Storm 3 for several reasons.  I'm sure Verizon wants to be able to offer as many BlackBerry 6 devices as possible.  The Bold 9650 and Curve 3G will be getting updated to the new OS, but no one is exactly sure when that'll happen.  The Storm series, while certainly not the most successful smartphone ever, sells units.  Some people just want a touch experience on a handset with typical BlackBerry features like email and BBM.  That's what I think, but what about all of you?  Will we see a Storm 3 before the year is up?
