After Microsoft finally unveiled Windows Phone 7 on Monday, there were many people excited about the what new OS was bringing to the table, including myself. Still, there were a few features absent that some users clamor for, like copy and paste. A new rumor suggests that an update to WP7 will be hitting allegedly coming in January 2011 that will correct those omissions and bring some other appealing new enhancements to the OS. The new features are said to include turn-by-turn navigation through Bing maps, a multitasking solution that may end up being more like app switching, and copy/paste.
Also of note is that Microsoft has confirmed that they will be bringing a Windows Phone 7 syncing client to Mac users. The tool will allow users to "sync select content" to WP7 devices.
I don't know about all of you, but I'm thrilled to see Microsoft working quickly to get all of these additions into WP7. Sure, it's disappointing that they weren't there to begin with, but we'll only have to wait a couple of months for the new features. That's certainly quicker than some other platforms were able to implement things like copy/paste and multitasking. While we're on the subject of WP7 and its launch, is there anything absent from the new OS that you think Microsoft needs to add?
