Verizon wasn't the only carrier getting in on the Android fun today, as AT&T has also announced three of their own Motorola Android smartphones. First we have the Bravo, which is the most high-end of the three devices. The Bravo is a full touch device featuring a 3.7-inch 854x480 screen, an 800 MHz TI OMAP 3610 chip, 3 megapixel camera, and Android 2.1 beneath MOTOBLUR. As for release info, the Bravo is set to hit shelves before the holiday season (we've heard October 17th rumored in the past) for $129.99 with a two-year contract.
Next we have the Flipside, a horizontal QWERTY that will pack a 3.1-inch HVGA display, 720MHz TI OMAP 3410 processor, 3 megapixel camera, an especially large trackpad, and Android 2.1 running below MOTOBLUR. Expect the Flipside to launch some time before the holidays (also possibly on Oct. 17th) for $99.99 on contract.
Finally, we come to the Flipout, which is here to prove that rumors of its demise were greatly exaggerated. The boxy Flipout sports the same 720 MHz chip and 3 megapixel camera as the Flipside, although you'll only fine a 2.8-inch QVGA screen here. As with the other two handsets, Android 2.1 with a mix of MOTOBLUR will be on board here. The Flipout will be launching October 17th (not a rumor, unlike the Bravo or Flipside) for $79.99 on a two-year contract. You can find the press release detailing all three handsets down below.
I don't know about you, but I'm extremely excited to see AT&T expanding their Android lineup with three new phones. Sure, they aren't super bleeding edge, but the Bravo has some pretty respectable innards, especially with the 3.7-inch, 854x480 display. What's even better is that we'll be seeing all three phones before the year is up, meaning you AT&T subscribers looking for a new phone will have your decision made much more difficult in the near future. So, Android fans, which of these phones looks most appealing to you?
