We already know that Microsoft is planning to debut Windows Phone 7 in London on October 11th, but now the company has sent out invites for a similar event in New York City. Beginning at 9:30 AM EST on October 11th, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer and AT&T Mobility CEO Ralph De La Vega will be teaming up to unveil Windows Phone 7 to the world. Following the press conference, there will be retail versions of WP7 handsets on hand for everyone to test and see just what the final version of the OS and the various hardware feels like. Of course, PhoneDog will be there live to bring you all of the news that you could want, so check back in one week to see Windows Phone 7's official U.S. coming out party.
I don't know about you, but I'll be glad to finally have Windows Phone 7 publicly available so that we can all stop ogling the software and hardware in leaks and actually get some hands-on time in. Plus, it'll be exciting to compare the handsets that show up at the event with their leaked counterparts. Don't forget to check back with us next Monday, October 11th, at 9:30 AM EST for a liveblog of the event and plenty of first impressions of all the WP7 devices that will be on hand! In the mean time, you can go back and check out Noah's hands-on with the finished version of Windows Phone 7 right here.
