Rumor: HTC tablet specs include Tegra 2 and 1280x720 display

As we all know by now, tablets are all the rage with manufacturers and customers: the iPad is doing well, Samsung is launching their Galaxy Tab on all four big carriers, and just about every other OEM is rumored to be launching a new tablet in the next six months.  HTC is one of the companies said to be putting together an Android tablet in Q1 2011, and today we've got some rumored specs for the rumored tablet.  Digitimes has reported that, according to their sources, Pegatron Technology has just been given the green light to begin building HTC's tablet which will include an NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, a touchscreen with a 1280x720 resolution, 2 GB of RAM, a 32 GB SSD, and the usual WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS trappings.  The Q1 2011 release date still stands, and Digitimes believes that HTC's tablet will retail for around $790, based off of the estimated Taiwanese price.

While the number of currently released or soon-to-be-released tablets is much smaller than the number of rumored tablets, I'm sure we'll see those numbers change in the next few months.  Considering how many Android handsets that HTC makes and how popular they are with consumers, I have a feeling that HTC's tablet will be one of the more anticipated rumored tablets.  Which of the upcoming tablets (HTC, Motorola, Acer, etc.) are you most looking forward to?
