Verizon launches 4G teaser site

Yesterday a Verizon exec announced that the carrier would be launching its 4G network in 30 markets by the end of the year and today they've taken another step toward making LTE a reality.  Verizon has added a page to their website dedicated to 4G and, unfortunately, it doesn't have any information about just when the network will actually go live or how much customers will have to pay for access.  If you're interested in when you'll be able to "ride the lightening of Verizon's 4G signal," you can sign up for email alerts right here.

Now that Sprint already has 4G in 52 markets, Verizon is getting ready to launch LTE by the end of the year, and AT&T will have LTE up and running by the middle of next year, the move to 4G is slowly becoming a reality.  While it will likely be a while before we see any LTE-capable phones hit the market, at least we have a few of WiMAX devices to hold us over.  Will any of you pick up LTE modems when they're released, or are you going to hold out for LTE handsets before you experience Verizon and AT&T's flavor of 4G?
