Verizon has their own special tab in the Android Market on their DROID phones and exclusive access to the Android Skype app, but now the carrier will be launching its own V CAST Android App Store to go alongside the Android Market, too. Verizon announced that it will be launching its V CAST app store for Android devices on version 2.2, but the carrier gave no information on when we can expect the store to go live. Verizon is holding a developers conference on September 21st and 22nd, though, where we're sure to learn more about the app store. In the mean time, Verizon has given us some other details about its V CAST store, hoping to lure devs with the following benefits:

One of the biggest perks has to be the Carrier Billing, which is just about the easiest way to pay for and download an app. This could help convince more customers to purchase apps since they don't have to worry about entering credit card info or any other information. The fact that apps must be approved by Verizon before being added to the store is another perk, and should help weed out the junk. Still, the fact that Verizon is adding their own app store could make things confusing for some DROID owners. We'll just have to wait and see how things turn out when Verizon finally launches the V CAST store.
