We first caught wind of LG's new Optimus One and Optimus Chic way back at the beginning of July, but details on the handsets were light back then. Today LG official trotted both devices out and shared a good deal of spec information on them both. First up is the Optimus One, the phone on the left. The Optimus One is packing a 3.2-inch wide HVGA display, a 600 MHz CPU, 3 megapixel camera, and Android 2.2 preloaded. Next is the stylish Optimus Chic, which is also running a 600 MHz and has a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera, and Android 2.2. The Optimus One will launch in the U.K. in October, while the Optimus Chic will debut in the U.K. in November.
I have to admit that both of these Optimus phones look like sleek little handsets. With the recent barrage of phones with 4-inch and higher screens, sometimes it's nice to have a device that is small, pocketable, and easily fits in your hand. Plus, it's pretty awesome that LG has managed to preload Froyo on both of the Optimus phones, meaning you get access to Google Voice Actions, Google Navigation, and all of the other bells and whistles that are included with Android 2.2. So, LG, how about sharing some Optimus love with those of us in the U.S.?
