Those of you who own a Samsung Vibrant, Captivate, or Epic 4G may have noticed Samsung's "Media Hub" app baked into the phone. It looks cool, right? Too bad it doesn't work just yet. The good news is that Samsung has sent out invites for an event on September 16th where they will officially unveil Media Hub and announce their "latest Android-powered device." Perhaps we'll see the Verizon-bound Samsung Galaxy Tab?
Media Hub, which is designed to bring all sorts of content directly to your Samsung handset, sounds like a pretty neat little app. I think it's kind of strange that they didn't ship their Galaxy S line of devices without the Media Hub app working, but maybe they wanted to wait for all four of the big carriers to launch their Galaxy S phone before unleashing Media Hub. As for the Galaxy Tab, we still don't have any sort of information as to when it will launch here in the U.S. Samsung is pulling the wraps off of the tablet this Thursday, but that's at IFA, a European event. So maybe this September 16th event is when we'll see the Americanized Galaxy Tab. Are you Galaxy S owners looking forward to finally getting some use out of your Media Hub app?
