LG's C900 was one of the first Windows Phone 7 devices we saw in the recent onslaught of leaks, and now today we've learned a little more about the handset. Speaking with the folks at Boy Genius Report, a source inside of LG has stated that the QWERTY-packing C900 will be called "Pacific" when it hits. We've actually heard the name Pacific used to describe an LG device in the past, as Microsoft's Greg Sullivan mentioned the phone in a previous interview discussing Windows Phone 7 manufacturers.
Keep in mind that this is still being placed in the rumor category at this point, but considering that we've already heard the name once before, it's looking likely that the C900 will become the Pacific. Heck, last time the info came straight from Microsoft's senior product manager. We're really surprised that LG isn't sticking with the C900, but good on them for picking a new name. After all, Pacific certainly rolls off the tongue better than C900 does.
