We heard a rumor a week or so ago that HP was planning to release a webOS-based tablet in Q1 2011, and now HP has gone ahead and confirmed those rumors. HP's own Todd Bradley announced on an earnings call today that the company would have a "Microsoft product out in the near future and a webOS-based product in early 2011." Continuing, Bradley explained that potentially creating a tablet device was part of the reason that HP decided to buy Palm. We don't know much about the device besides the fact that it's coming next year, but it's always nice to get official confirmation, right?
Considering how long it's been since we've seen any sort of new webOS hardware, this is pretty big news. Sure, it's not the new phone that a lot of us were hoping for, but anything webOS-based is exciting at this point. Maybe the tablet will even be running webOS 2.0. So now that we've got a webOS tablet, the BlackPad, Motorola's Stingray, a Samsung tablet, and the iPad, which tablet are you going to pick?
