T-Mobile recently filed for a few trademarks with the U.S. Trademark office for names like the G1 Blaze, G2, and Cliq 2. Now the carrier has filed for a couple more trademarks, allowing us to speculate on their future plans. First up is the "MyTouch HD," a device which we've seen alleged images of in the past. The fact that T-Mobile trademarked this name isn't much of a surprise, as we've known about the product for a while now and should see it some time this year. The second name that T-Mo has trademarked is "The Family Network." This may hint at a future ad campaign and revamping of plan choices in order to help T-Mobile compete with the other national carriers.
Again, the fact that T-Mobile has trademarked "MyTouch HD" is no surprise, and it only adds credence to the rumors that we've heard about the device in the past. I'm interested in learning more about what the carrier plans to do with "The Family Network." Considering that T-Mo has often touted the fact that users can add lines to a family plan for only $5, in addition to their cheaper-than-usual plan options, some already consider them to be a family-friendly network. Perhaps they'll do even more plan revamping in the future?
