A couple of days after we finally got confirmation that the Samsung Galaxy S was coming to T-Mobile as the Vibrant, the carrier has released an "early FAQ" that includes some specs on the device. The specs are:
We've already heard most of these specs in the past, but it's good to see them confirmed by T-Mobile. The Vibrant will definitely be one of the higher-specced devices on the market when it's released. It's kind of disappointing that it's shipping with Android 2.1 rather than 2.2, but I'm sure there will be an update to Froyo soon after release. The one question I have is this: How does the Vibrant benefit from T-Mobile's HSPA+ network if it's not an HSPA+-capable device? I'm trying to come up with some sort of explanation, but am unable to think of anything realistic. What do you think, readers?
