At $50 and $100 (respectively), most would agree that the KIN ONE and TWO are a bit overpriced, given the number of fully featured smartphones that are in the same price range. For $99, I could purchase an iPhone 3G, BlackBerry Tour, Palm Pre Plus, and several other popular smartphones on the market today.
Seems like Best Buy has realized this, as they've dropped the pricing of the ONE and TWO to $0 and $50 respectively, placing these two devices within reach of their target demographic (the "upload generation," if you recall). Combined with the fact that no rebates are involved, I'd expect sales of the two feature phones to increase. Now, about that $30 "smartphone" data plan...care to knock a few bucks off, Verizon?
