Windows Phone 7 release candidate spotted, resembles KIN

One of the more highly anticipated things of this year by many is the new Windows Phone 7 operating system hitting the market. Unfortunately, it was announced at the beginning of the year, and we will have to wait until the Christmas holiday season before consumers can hope to get it in their hands.

Paul Thurrott from WinSuperSite.com has posted a plethora of screen captures of the Windows Phone 7 release candidate to keep us all enticed while we wait in agony. The strange thing is that some of the screens look awfully familiar to the KIN. It makes sense, but wasn't something that really would have crossed my mind. It makes you wonder what Microsoft has up their sleeves because this seems like a bridge between smartphones and feature phone.

Specifically, the Zune player and the FM radio page look very similar to the KIN, but it doesn't end there. There are commonalities between the two throughout their user interfaces. What are your thoughts on the upcoming Windows Phone 7? Do you like it? Do you think it looks too bland?
