PinkTooth by chicBuds
SUMMARY: A blinged-out BT earbud that’s about as far away from corporate aesthetic as you can get. At less than half the price of the other headsets in this guide, it’s no surprise that the call quality was the worst. But I have a feeling that for anyone who would use a rhinestone–studded piece like this, audio would be besides the point.
PRICE: $48
AVAILABILITY: chicBuds.com
I’ll be honest: I was hesitant to include this earpiece. First, I’m not huge on rhinestones. Second, in my hands, it felt more like a toy than a real, functional headset. But you know what? Maybe I’ve become way too snobby about my electronics. This thought dawned on me when my neighbor dropped by.
In the middle of her greeting, mid-sentence no less, she stopped cold when she saw the PinkTooth sitting on my desk. She zoomed straight over to touch, hold and play with it. In fact, I let her try it on, and she admired it in the mirror like she was trying on earrings or something. Okay, so she’s a performer (a dancer/choreographer), so maybe she has an instinctive taste for theatrical prop jewelry. Or maybe she just likes fun little doohickeys that don’t cost an arm and a leg.
And you know, it IS fun, even the packaging. The PinkTooth comes in a metal “candy tin” or box, with soft-plastic fittings for different sizes that fit inside the ear, as well as a USB charger. And it’s available in a choice of white Swarovski crystals or pink ones.
So if you’re shopping for people who’d rather have a fashion accessory than a typical-looking cell phone accessory, this might actually thrill them.

CONCLUSION
In addition to the items I covered, I hear Jawbone headsets are pretty great. Sadly, I wasn’t able to get a product sample to review. But I urge you to check it out, if you can. I hear some terrific things about these headsets, both style-wise and in terms of quality. (If anyone has a Jawbone, please share your thoughts on it!)
Of the bunch here that I tried, I have to say that Novero's TheFirstOne, the Plantronics Discovery 975 and the MoGo Talk for the iPhone were my favorites. They all functioned well, and offered unique design that I was proud to carry.
