Palm Pre available via online, telesales

Whether you?re drooling over the Pre, or just mildly curious, you might be interested to know that the device is now available for telesales and online ordering via Sprint for $299.











The rebate, however ? which brings the price to $199 ? is not instant (like it was in many brick-and-mortar stores), so you?ll have to mail it in to get your 100 bucks. But that's the trade-off for not having to change out of your jammies to go to the store.

Before you click to buy, however, you may want to check out this recent post from Noah about the Pre. In it, he cites an analyst who estimates that 40% of the units sold thus far have been returned, largely due to hardware defects. But even so, there's still plenty to wax poetic about, which Noah does in his laundry list of Pre pluses.
