Last Summer, Google put up $10,000,000 in rewards as incentive to create the most innovative, useful, and beautiful software coders could conjure up for the Android platform. They called it the Android Developer's Challenge. And while a few of the top 25 have turned up in the Market, the most promising are just now beginning to see the light of day. And I am very happy to announce that my number one top pick has finally entered beta - and I am lucky enough to be a part of it.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Teradesk - an online storage, file sharing, and management suite that embraces openness and cross-platform support. Essentially, Teradesk consists of two applications; a program that runs on your android device and a desktop client. The purpose of both is to interface with your Teradisk (currently limited to 1 Gig, but the name may indicate more storage is on the way - perhaps at a premium).

The desktop application will eventually be made available to Windows, Mac, and Linux users, though the Windows version is the only one you can download at this point. Mac comes next, and Linux last. This bummed me out a bit when the beta opened, but it turned out to be a non-issue - virtually the same interface can be accessed from within a browser. I could not get the Windows version to function properly under Wine or Crossover Office on my Linux laptop, but I will report back as soon as the Mac client is out.
