Announced today at CTIA in Las Vegas, AT&T has edged out big red to be the first carrier to launch subsidized netbooks. Select stores in Atlanta and Philadelphia are being stocked with the computers, which contain built-in 3G capabilities. The caveat? Users are required to sign up for AT&T's ?Internet at Home and On the Go? broadband services.
Entry-level laptops will start at $49.99 and rise as high as the Lenovo X200 for $850, with a monthly service charge of $59.99 for the internet service.
