Economically speaking, even though we're in a tough time, Apple fans will be happy to know that effective March 26th, the iPhone 3G will finally be offered an a no-contract price. Though the 8GB and 16GB models will cost $599 and $699 respectively, the activation won't have to be performed at the store, leading to quicker transactions and happier customers (we'd imagine). According to the information, an active account may be required to purchase - nothing new for AT&T's full retail transactions, but worth knowing.
