Right now, someone over at Sprint is probably breathing into a paper bag ? or getting fired. It appears that the guys at PhoneNews got their mitts on the carrier's 2009 mobile device roadmap (which BoyGenius Report reposted). The multi-page document lays out Sprint's plans for the rest of the year (and in glorious color to boot).
If these slides are the genuine article, things definitely aren't looking too shabby for Sprint. It confirms Palm Pre's Q2 release and the BB Niagra's (near the end of Q3). For WinMo lovers, there are also some Samsung and HTC phones, as well as a Samsung Touch Mini and Lucello dual slider. (Look closely ? You might even catch a whiff of Android goodness from Palm.)
The docs also list two possible successors to the Samsung Instinct (which launched at CTIA last year):
"Mini" ? likely the much-rumored Instinct Mini
"Dash" ? We hadn't heard of this one before, but the doc clearly mentions it as the successor to the first-gen Instinct
Have you spotted anything else in here you're excited about? Sound off in the comments.
Enjoy!
