Seems like eco-friendly cell chargers are trendy now. (That and wanting to be buried with a cell phone. Now what is that all about? I really love my phone too, but no?I really, really can't hear you now.)
After reading John's recent post about the Mobion solar-powered cell phone charger, I noticed this interesting bit of gadgetry on Treehugger: A bike-powered cell phone charger. Product Designer Oscar Lhermitte's latest involves clipping the small thingamajiggie onto the wheel and then pedaling to cycle a charge.
If you?re a fitness fiend, this a no-brainer. For mere mortals like me, the 90 minutes it takes to fully charge a battery seems kinda steep. Luckily, people can bike less if they just want to add a little juice to tide them over.
This is far from the only green tech available to cell phone users (Motorola dallied with a bike charger), but it's cool to see that this trend is in great shape. Actually, fantastic shape?especially if green-minded customers wind up looking toned and fabulous.
