Sources in the know tell us that the MySpace app for BlackBerry smartphones launches at 12:01AM EST tonight. This is good news for those who get bored during corporate town hall meetings or want to kill some time between appointments. Now, instead of doing work, you can catch up with your community on the go.
The app makes it easy to check MySpace updates and messages everywhere you are. Caught a former coworker taking one of your current clients out to lunch? Start a "Hall of Shame" by taking a picture of the sleazebag and posting it to your MySpace page with a single click. There's just oodles of fun you could have with this. (Disclaimer: Neither PhoneDog nor the author of this post is responsible for any crazy legal action you may bring on yourself. Proceed with caution!)
The app is optimized for the BlackBerry and downloadable here (or point your smartphone's browser to m.myspace.com).
As if this wasn't enough MySpaciness for you, RIM (the company behind BlackBerry) is also launching a community page on the social networking site. For starters, it will feature the latest applications from the company and its partners, plus accessories, news, contests, and tutorials.
So if you're addicted to your BlackBerry AND social networking, head on over. Just don't blame us if you waste the next few days in mobile MySpace land.
