Wondering if the XpressMusic 5800 is the only all-touch phone you'll
ever see from Nokia? Wishing the kids in Espoo would move beyond the
N95/N96 candybar form factor and jump into the crazy new world of
touchscreen-QWERTY-pointer hybrids?
Fear not, Finnish phone fans! EngadgetMobile's got the goods
on Nokia's upcoming high-end device lineup, and if they're even
half-right, 2009 should be an exciting year for Nokia loyalists.
EM's
post is chock full of specs, code names (Bruce Lee in the house!) and
notes destined to warm even the most hardened phone geek's heart, and
there's way too much to repost here. So I'll skip to the ones that
really jumped out at me:
Whoah. Gimme some Eitri, huh? Or that 32GB of memory on Ivalo. And what's up with the half QWERTY board on Corolla? That's very un-Nokia like. There's much, much more on the chart, including a few AT&T-specific goodies like the "Jig" landscape slider.
Maybe if we're good between now and the end of the year we'll get a preview of Nokia's new beasts at CES in January. Cross your fingers!
