Samsung and Sprint have pushed out the first firmware update for their
high-profile baby, the Instinct. This update doesn't add much
asked-after functionailty like an Instant Messaging client or better
Web browser, but it does claim to add some zip to the UI and remove
some pixelation from Sprint TV. I've also seen a few claims of
improved data speeds following the upgrade.
If you've got an Instinct and installed the update, take a second and post to the comments: How's it working out for you?
Meantime, Engadget Mobile has linked to a thread on the Buzz About Wireless forums mentioning a second firwmare update in the works for Instinct users. This next update promises to work on specific functionality:
The application updates coming in August will make changes to Picture
Mail, the web browser, Sprint TV, Sprint Navigation, Sprint Email,
Sprint Music Store, Visual Voicemail, Mobile Sync and more. Today's
update prepares the device for these updates.
Mobile IM? Hello, Mobile IM? We want some Mobile IM on Instinct!
