Fasten your seat belts, kids - the Summer of Cell is about to begin. CrunchGear just got a tip that AT&T employees started receiving training today on the new Apple iPhone 2, perhaps in preparation for a Monday launch.
As you're all too painfully aware of by now, I'm sure, everybody and their moms are expecting Apple to take the wraps of a new iPhone (or two, perhaps) Monday morning at the WWDC Keynote. A few weeks back, Gizmodo all but guaranteed that the new iPhone would be on sale immediately following the launch. If this is true, it makes sense that AT&T employees are learning how to say "Yes, we have it. How many would you like, and how would you like to pay?" the Apple Way - odds are they'll be doing a lot of it come Monday, especially if Apple gives into carrier subsidies and iPhone 2 sells for around $199 with a new contract.
We'll see ... If the new iPhone is, in fact, available on Monday I promise I'll pick one up as early as possible and spend the rest of my day testing it out and blogging/vlogging all about it. Right here. On the Dog.
