Boy Genius Report has a post up today talking about the MOTO ZN5 - aka XPERL - that mysteriously arrived at their office today. But then, in the comment section of the post, a reader suggests that the phone pictured ain't the ZN5 at all. And BGR himself replied with, "Yeah, think it's a new model, not sure on the model name, though?"
What the blazes is goin' on here?
Indeed it seems that this 5MP - BUT NO AUTO-FOCUS! - Quad-Band EDGE, WiFi, slider cameraphone is not the ZN5 of lore. That flagship cameraphone, supposedly in development with Kodak, is a candybar (the Internet said so!) and surely will feature autofocus.
So what is this thing? A new Moto smartphone? No, not without 3G. A UMA cameraphone headed for T-Mobile? Maybe. But why 5MP without autofocus? Hmm ... It's a mystery. The MOTO mystery ...
