Today Nokia announced two new devices from their XpressMusic line up ? the 5230 and 5220. Both candy bar style handsets are compatible with the Nokia Music Store, which hosts more than 2 million tracks for customers to browse and buy and lets users side-load their content.
Nokia 5230 XpressMusic
The 5230 comes a little bit more fully stocked than the 5220 with 3G social entertainment for music and web 2.0 social interfacing. Touting the Say and Play option that allows members to say the name of the song or album they want to hear and wait for the device to play it automatically.
The Nokia 5230 includes dedicated XpressMusic keys, a 3.5mm audio jack, up to 24 hours of playback time, an audio chip for hi-fi sound quality, extendable memory up to 8GB, HS-USB for fast music transfer and HSDPA for fast access to data.
Staying in line with the recent brand offerings, the 5230 offers access to Ovi, Nokia Search 4.1 and has dedicated N-Gage gaming keys with landscape mode for gamers on the go. The 5230 is expected to retail for around $350 in the third quarter.
Nokia 5220 XpressMusic
The 5220 is a pared down device for the ?masses? and offers a built-in lanyard to carry the device around your neck and up to 24 hours playback time, dedicated XpressMusic keys and a 3.5mm audio jack. Anticipated for the third quarter of 2008, the 5220 will be available for around $100 USD less than the 5230.
