AT&T subscribers wishing to get out of their contract early will have to pay a fee based on how much time is left on their contract instead of the typically outrageous flat fee. Also, existing customers are no longer required to sign up for a new contract every time they want to change rate plans. This move by AT&T is probably a direct result of its competitors already implementing similar policies. It's about time AT&T!
