A few days ago Fareed blogged about a mystery device forthcoming from smartphone maker extraordinaire HTC. The mystery phone may have been revealed today as the T-Mobile-bound "Shadow," aka the HTC Juno.
Gizmodo posted a spy shot of a T-Mobile branded slider phone looking much like the device pictured in Fareed's aforementioned blog post, with some specs to boot. It's certainly possible (if not likely) that HTC will unveil Juno as an unlocked/unbranded sibling of this T-Mobile slider, so it's hard to say what specs to expect when the phone is released. Gizmodo didn't mention the VGA display or 3mp camera that Fareed listed, but they did list some interesting bits like WiFi and a new UI featured called "Top Screen." They also picture it next to the BlackBerry Pearl - Shadow may just be one of the smallest Windows Mobile smartphones around.
Whatever the final specs may be, let's just hope that Shadow's two letters per button Sure Type keypad is more user friendly than the similarly designed Samsung Blast. I spent some time with the Blast recently and just couldn't grow to like its too crowded, too shallow buttons. Could the Shadow be more of a blast than the Blast?
Could I make a worse pun?
