AT&T subscribers will see increased uploading speeds of up to 6 times faster than the current HSPDA 3G platform. The move to HSUPA is a direct result of an increasing customer demand to upload videos and photos to such services like Myspace and Youtube. The transition should be complete over the next couple of months as stated by Richard Burns, president of AT&T's wireless network services in an interview with Rueters.

According to Burns, customers can expect upload speeds to increase from 120kbps to between 500 and 800 kbps (kilobits per second) under optimal conditions.  Unfortunately he did not mention how much this increased performance is going to cost the consumer, but taking into account AT&T? track record I would bet it's not going to be cheap!
