According to the CEO of Sling Media (of all people), Nokia is readying a new version of their flagship super phone that will support the US version of HSDPA. Aside from the N95's hefty price tag, lack of US-band 3G support is more or less the only "objective" fault most people can find with the do-it-all phone.
Om Malik of GigaOM.com is reporting that Nokia plans to release the new N95 (N95-2?) next month. Rather, he reports that Sling's CEO is reporting that release date ... But Boy Genius has published their own report including pics of a Nokia brochure that shows a redesigned back panel dressed in black (instead of plum) and a higher capacity battery for the US-spec handset.
Also, pics have surfaced of a new low/mid-range Sony Ericssson Walkman phone. The handset is a flip finished in dark grey with touch sensitive media player controls, a 1.3 MP camera, and a fairly large speaker. Just Another Mobile Phone Blog has pics you can look at, but no details beyond those yet yet.
