Google has just started yet another free service, voice directory assistance. All you have to do is dial 1-800-GOOG-411 (1-800-466-4411) and state your location and simply ask for whatever it is you?re looking for. You can say something general like ?Cell phone? or ?Auto Repair? and it will automatically search for listings in your area.  You can also say a specific business name like ?Pizza Hut?.

At this point Goog411 is in the experimental stage and is only available in English and only for US businesses. Another great feature is that Google will send a SMS message straight to your phone with the information you inqured about. I found that the automated machine fully understood what I was asking for. Goog411 is not only for your cell phone but your landline too. When using the service on your cellular phone, please be aware that additional charges from your service provider may apply for using minutes or receiving text messages.
