ATLANTA and SOUTH BEND, Ind., Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- The University of Notre Dame has selected Cingular Wireless as a provider of wireless services and equipment to the University's administration, faculty, staff and students.
Under the contract, members of the Notre Dame community will be able to purchase every wireless handset and PDA in Cingular's broad portfolio.
Cingular is the first cellular carrier to transmit on Notre Dame's new distributed cellular antenna system -- provided by NextG Networks, Inc. -- to maximize both exterior and in-building wireless coverage throughout the 1,250-acre campus.
