LG has always in my opinion made fantastic cell phones. Between the good looks and an exceptionally easy to use menu structure they always seem to produce a winning combination for its users.
LG has introduced a couple of new phones in other markets around the world that should make their way here in the next couple of months. A little birdie told me to expect Verizon to receive the first crop of DMB phones. I know what you are thinking; what does the? Dave Mathews Band? have to do with a cell phone, well actually nothing at all unless you upload your mp3 files. ?DMB? stands for Digital Multimedia Broadcasting.
Soon you will be able to watch TV programs, from soccer matches to soap operas to the latest news all from your LG cell phone. When speaking with one of the reps at the CTIA convention in Las Vegas, he informed me that the new line of LG phones will be equipped with DMB, DVB-H and MediaFlow technologies.
After experiencing the technology first hand, I have to tell you I can hardly wait for it to cross the pond. If the US version has similar features as the one featured below it will be far superior to anything on the market today.
Here is an example of a CDMA version available now in Korea.
