The new Packet8 BPG510 phone adapter may just be the answer to helping customers decided it is the right time to switch to Voice over IP (VoIP) services. Announced today by Packet8, a broadband VoIP and videophone communications service provider, this new phone adapter is going to eliminate the need for customers to have to purchase an additional router for services. By eliminating the need for a router, customers will save around $40 on average.
Packet8's BPG510 is equipped with two Ethernet ports, LAN and WAN, and one RJ-11 phone port for connecting a standard analog telephone. The LAN port can be used to connect a PC or other network device without the need for more equipment. The new built-in router is now responsible for transmitting the voice packets over data language and also manages your available bandwidth.
The new phone adapter comes with a mail in rebate and is also available for existing customers to upgrade if desired. Along with new enhanced calling features, Packet8 VoIP services may be the right choice for your new home telephone system.
