OKLAHOMA CITY ? Cellular One today said it is giving customers another great reason to choose its wireless service over traditional landline telephone service ? statewide unlimited calling plans.
Cellular One's Stop Counting Minutes Statewide Plans, which were unveiled by the company in its continental U.S. markets, give customers unlimited calling and long distance in the home state for the monthly low price of $50, according to company spokesman Craig Davis.
Select additional states can be added to the user's home calling area for $5 per month and customers can roam to other states for $.15 per minute. In many cases, the cost of a traditional single landline telephone with unlimited long distance is nearly $60 per month, Davis said.
?The Stop Counting Minutes Statewide Plans reinforce our commitment to honest, straightforward and simple rate plans that give our customers the freedom to communicate on our cutting edge network as often as they like,? he said. ?One price, unlimited calls in the home state, state-of-the-art network and superior customer service ? it's what sets Cellular One apart from the competition.?
Cellular One spent more than $130 million expanding its cutting-edge network by adding more than 200 cell sites last year, he said. The company has pledged to continue its aggressive network expansion in 2006.
?Parents with teenagers can free up their home lines without worrying about large wireless bills. Similarly, businesses can know exactly what they are spending for wireless and budget accordingly,? Davis said.
Cellular One, which operates in 16 states, serves nearly 1.5 million customers nationwide. For more information on Cellular One's Stop Counting Minutes Statewide Plans visit your local Cellular One retail location.
