Last week a judge from the Southern District of New York made it possible for federal police to now obtain our location, even without evidence of wrongdoing, by using the signal from our cellular phones. On December 20, 2005 Judge Gabriel Gorenstein ruled that federal police may now track the location of any American by contacting their cellular phone provider directly and obtain information about which towers your cellular phone used during any incoming or outgoing calls.
As you can imagine this has stirred up a HUGE controversy about our right to privacy as Americans.
We would love to hear your opinion about this ruling, so post a Blog Comment today.
