OKLAHOMA CITY ? By the time Cellular One customers open their holiday presents this year, they?ll already be enjoying an expanded wireless network thanks to nearly 150 new cell sites the company has turned on so far in 2005.
To date, Cellular One, which operates more than 65 markets in 16 states, has added 146 new cell sites to expand coverage and strengthen its cutting-edge network, according to Tim Duffy, chief technical officer and senior vice president of network operations and engineering.
Duffy also said the company expects to add 40 additional cell sites before the end of 2005.
? Every new site that goes on the air is another example of our commitment to providing the best wireless network possible to the markets we serve,? he said adding that Cellular One now has more 2,500 cell sites providing quality service to its 1.6 million customers.
