LG G Flex 2 4K UHD sample footage

Here’s a first look at some 4K UHD sample footage from the new LG G Flex 2. All of the footage you are seeing here on this video is recorded in 4K UHD with a 3840 x 2160 resolution and I’m actually recording the audio through the LG G Flex 2’s microphones so you guys should get an idea as to how the camera looks and how well the audio sounds. With that said, the LG G Flex 2 features the same image processor as the LG G3 so in terms of image quality, both the G Flex 2 and LG G3 are going to be very similar and produce similar results.

But I really like the 4K footage that the LG G Flex 2 captured. It has some pretty good dynamic range and you will definitely be able to capture some good-looking videos with this sensor. I did notice that in direct sunlight, it does tend to over-expose certain parts of images but it does do a great job crushing the blacks and not making them appear noisy.

The G Flex 2 also has a laser autofocus sensor on the back but I really didn’t find it too useful when focusing on subjects during a video. It worked half the time—it was great focusing on distant objects but with close up objects, it had trouble here and there. Optical image stabilization, though, is also present here and it’s probably my favorite feature with this camera sensor since it really does do a great job at steadying the shot. Without it, the footage you’re seeing here would be terribly shaky.

Let me know what you guys think of this image sensor and what you think of the 4K UHD sample footage from the LG G Flex 2. Do you guys think it’s competitive to the flagship smartphones? Is it as good as your camera? Let me know what your thoughts are by leaving me a comment down below.
