BLU Life Pure Unboxing

BLU has been making a noticeable impact on the mobile world by releasing low-cost smartphones that compete with offerings from companies like Huawei and Oppo. The best part of these devices is that they come unlocked and without a contract for a very low price. Just before CES, BLU announced details about its brand new Life Pure, describing it as a flagship device with a massive 5-inch 1080p display, 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage. It’s a very spec-heavy device, but the best spec of them all is the reasonably low price tag of only $329 off contract.

With that low of a price, the BLU Life Pure does cut a couple of corners, but design is not one of them. Its style is very reminiscent of Apple's iPhone 5, and while it doesn’t have the iPhone's chamfered edges or beautiful materials, the Life Pure's thin slate design is very appealing.

The BLU Life Pure comes preloaded with a heavily-skinned version of Android 4.2. The device is running a lot of custom BLU software features and also lacks a true home screen experience that's typically found on Android.
