T-Mobile and Sprint announced their merger plans in April 2018 in a deal worth $26.5 billion. As part of the merger plans, Dish Network has agreed to buy Sprint's prepaid businesses and 800MHz spectrum for $5 billion. Dish will also get access to T-Mobile's network for seven years while it builds out its own 5G network.
