Note that i rooted my S3 with custom kernel and ROM.
I have been using the international S3 with a slight different processor and total RAM compared to the US variant for about 2 months. Here is my honest thoughts about the smartphone. Don't expect any biased opinion here.
First and foremost, i have to warn the prospective buyer about the issue that haunted most of the S3 users which is the ink marks on the screen. It is very noticeable when looking at the screen ONLY in the dark with black background. Lucky for me i have only 2 little small blob of ink on my screen. In spite of the issue, it is still a joy looking at the 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED with magnificent color reproduction. It may appeared to be over saturated for certain people but it doesn't bug me that much. If the screen is the highest criterion for choosing a phone then HoX won't be letting you down.
Reception and call quality is doing great.
Now let's talk about the battery life. In the battery department Samsung S3 is doing a magnificent job! Do the 2100mAh provides enough juice? A full charge i can get around 4-5 hours ON SCREEN TIME with moderate to heavy usage. Browsing, gaming and messaging to be exact.
Before i made my purchase, i watched the Phonedog's review about the Samsung S3. Aaron stated that, it is great to hold in the hand which turns out to be so true!
At first i was struggling to get used to the gargantuan 4.8 inch screen,one-hand usage is a pain in the butt ( i don't have a large hand). In the end, that is not a big deal anymore, just need a little bit of time to settle down. One thing i really don't like is the plastic construction of the phone. Unlike the HoX which i think is far more superior in terms of build quality. I would like to share my real world experience in the DROP TEST which turns out great(accident by the way). My S3 survived twice dropping from my bed. The overall design is OKAY, nothing to brag about. By the way, i always turn off the backlit buttons because it doesn't look right to me.
Last but not least, one more issue about the S3 is the front facing camera. Capturing a white background with your front facing camera will leave a pink circle on the image. A lot of users also facing this issue at XDA forum. I'm not sure about the US version. The main camera is serving me well except in low ambient light which produce a LOT of noise. Tips for conserving your battery is to turn off the unnecessary motion such as direct call and etc. In fact, i do turn it all off because i basically never use any. LOL
To wrap things up, do i recommend this smartphone to anyone? Yes in a heart beat. In the end, it is always depends on individual preference.
It great in many things such as display, camera, apps, shape,....i love it
I love SAMSUNG always,SAMSUNG I will always support you ^^
I have the white version of galaxy s3.
Satisfied with the display ,speed of the device.
Everything is just awesome about the phone. Has had it for three weeks on an unlimited data plan and, damn, could not have had it any better. I freaking cause riots with the camera, the tracking is the bomb with bike rides, the sound quality is just *drool*, the screen will blind all other smartphone users not used to the incredible sharpness, and damn its tough - dropped it once but not too seriously but not even a scratch without a protector and its the white version.
The htc one x is that device you wouldn't forget because its gourges and very buetiful body . The Screen is very clear and brite. The speed of it with the quad core is awesome . The call quality is fantactic. The sound is very clear and loud. The battery is quit good. At all this phone should be the best phone in all corners and edges !
The display is great for watching videos with HD quality. The S-pen availability is really nice for student like me to take note during lecture. The processor though, not really fast and I could see slight lag if running multiple apps together. Overall really like this phone.
Great display, but a little bit small, battery life after 2years remained the same...it's neverlocked so i didn't have any softwear problems...
Adding apps and xtra features to the S lll almost seem endless. I truly enjoy the thin design of the phone with the largely plained display that gives you more work or play room and sometimes it feels like u dont even have to touch the screen for it to work. I think beeing able to unlock your device does make for better call quality along with 4G reception. Phone does kick butt.
Super reception..

No comlains xcpt the plastic builtquality..
If anyone is looking for a new phone with a 2 year plan, I suggest SAMs club I got my phone for $1.02 total
Don't get me wrong, its a good smartphone, just not as good as some.
May be lacking in number of apps, but still all round most refined user experience in terms of speed, functionality and aesthetics.
with the new TW and the quadcore exynos supremed the smartphones
I had the HTC Desire for 2 years, and after seeing what HTC was doing, I thought that I won't be staying with them, but then the One series came out, and well, this phone just proved that they still have it. Amazing design, solid build quality, screen is display is amazing, with crisp and proper colours, speaker is loud and clear, camera is just epic. Fast and responsive, even with HTC Sense. A, proper flagship.
The phone is built at just the right time and suppose more than the average persons daily tasks. You can help yourself but juts keep picking it up even just after putting it down.
