This phone has the best of what there is to offer in 2013. Every year, new flagship phones are released but this year, HTC has decided to change the game completely by surpassing every single one of its competitors, even the mighty Samsung with its Galaxy flagship series. HTC One bests the S4 in so many ways and on so many levels. The first thing you'll notice is the exquisite look and feel of this phone. It is just eons away from what a plastic phone feels like. Then comes the ground-breaking features in the phone, such as the highest PPI display in history, the best phone speakers in history and the best low-light smartphoe camera in history. If that's not enough for you, then have a go at the interface in a store before you buy it. The Sense 5.0 UI is a real delight to use and it reels you into it with its relative simplicity and ease of use, with information right where you want it, without any gimmicks, like in the S4. The HTC One is the one to own in 2013. Until 2014, where we might see some radical changes (hopefully) from the other phone manufacturers, HTC One is the best deal for your money. You'll attract attention in a crowd, thrill your friends with the BoomSound technology and be amazed with the photos and videos in low-light conditions.
It is obviously the best smartphone of 2013 with its processor,software...
I have been an iPhone owner since its creation and having grown tired I began searching for a phone that could rival what I had grown to love in iPhone. There were few recommendation with the Samsung Galaxy models being pushed hard. Nexus, Nokia and HTC all had phones in the list but none were wowing in terms of design and usability - until HTC announced the One. It won in my search and I have to say that it is a top end phone with amazing design, style, and user interface. All rival iPhone well and I have absolutely no regrets after changing. How many iPhone>Galaxy users say that?
I like my tech and I love Apple. I own an array of apple products from iPods to iMacs and was nervous about making such a change. Having done it all I can say is that the HTC One's design, build and user interface have made the change a smooth one.
Hats off to HTC. You have produced an aptly named flagship device.
If you are debating the HTC/Galaxy choice, HTC wins in every way. Goget one now!!!
I got this HTC ONE last week and started use. I had a great experience so far. Then now, I can say that this phone is the greatest phone in 2013 so far I saw and had. I was using iPhone 3GS to iPhone 5 every time it came out, but this year, I thought that why not to give chance to try out android again (which last one I use was Galaxy S3 from Japan, but I didn't much like it as I thought). Yes, this HTC ONE is really nice design first when you touch it, and it is really smooth to be able to use for anyone. Also, it is support other languages operating when you choice for another language. This makes the who are not familiar with in English language, they can use as their mother language for this phone. For display, I can tell that no dots you can see (since I can see some of dots on iPhone 5 screen), that is really incurable change from previous screens and highest ever I see it. I am so happy for what I can use for this year. For Apps, their are some apps are not able to download from what I use before on Galaxy S3, that was little bit disappoint point, but other than that all apps' quality is a wonderful than what I was expected. It is a nice and great phone! I would suggest to my friend who want to get a new phone for this one! I actually have white HTC ONE 32GB.
Amazing phone the risplay is perfectcall qualityis above average an the battery life too the design is lovely meia is perfect
the best phone because of its display, reception and call quality and apps and media support.
Favourite because of Pure Software
and for being Cheap in Cost
Totally Worth A Penny. You What You Got.
Get rid The Plastic phone. Its Already 2013 Folks. Dont Be Fool On all Gimmiks That Other Phones Said
Build quality is the BEST! I love showing this piece of art work off. Everyone wants to play with it. You will love it.
Its Very fresh Looking phone. Its Like Im On 2020 Using the Phone Rather Than Glass or Cheap Polyplastic. (Samsung) htc one phone is Be my Term. Fully Recommended.
you get the most value for the money out of this phone except for the battery life which could be much better.
An elegant handset with excellent screen groundbreaking camera and extraordinary audio sound.
Great speakers. Camera has lots of options. Still learning them.
I was one of the people who blew off the S4 as an unimaginative incremental upgrade that would sell like hotcakes to fanboys. Words I find ironic now holding the S4 in my hand. I think the turning point for me came when I was watching a Netflix movie on my HTC one. It was a dark room and the light from my One was entirely too bright so I tapped the screen and pulled down the notification bar to quickly change the brightness...No brightness adjustment. Just a check-box to activate Power Save Mode. So to adjust the brightness I hit the setting button, went into display, and made the change. Reopening the Netflix app, I re-clicked on the movie, it buffered and continued where I left off. Now it was a little too dark...Rinse and repeat. This was about as unintuitive as it gets. I realized at this point I was missing some pretty fundamental options I had grown accustomed to coming from the Galaxy S3. Quick settings aside, the lack of a menu button was becoming more and more of an issue as well. With larger screens it is an annoyance to continually have to reach to the top of a screen to pull down the notification shade and then tap settings in the far upper right, or when in an app to have a quarter inch of my nice 1080p HD display go missing so I can see three small dots indicating click here for Menu. I did my best to enjoy the time I had left with my trophy wife of a phone. But, upon receiving the S4 I was pleasantly surprised, I actually loved the design. It just feels good in the hand. I can honestly say at the end of the day I prefer Samsung's understated design over that of the HTC One. The build feels seamless and is light and thin. The S4 for all it's cheapness in material was a solidly built uniform device. Armed with Quick access to all of of my settings AND a Menu button I finally feel at home. I love the S4. For me it's like not having to give up the S3 I loved while gaining a boost in performance and screen.
In the end this is more of a comparative review between the HTC One and the Samsung Galaxy S4, but since that is the question most android buyers will be facing until the next great phone is announced - Here's my $.02 worth.
There are so many things to like about this phone but what stands out the most in my opinion is the sheer performance. This phone is simple fluid, no hangups, no studders. Android has taken a lot of knocks for its UI performance and this handset easily lays those worries to shame. If the Snapdragon 600 is this fast (give some credit to Sense 5 however) I cannot imagine what the Snapdragon 800 will be capable of! The transitions and animations are simply instant. Applications open up very quickly and returning to the Home screen is prompt. Very impressive.
This display is superlative, as we all pretty much should know by now. Transitioning from my One to my Nexus 7 is now difficult because of the resolution, clarity and brightness. The speakers are good but honestly, not as loud as I expected based on the initial reviews. That said, they are definitely an improvement over rear placed speakers and get the job done.
The camera is satisfactory and as long as you don't need to enlarge your prints, it gets the job done. The Zoetrope mode combined with the ability to make Highlight Videos is truly a gem of a feature. Highlights could be easier to find and manage however.
Sense 5 is a mixed bag. If you are coming from previous version of Sense, they have really gutted it out and it is now missing some functionality. The trade off, obviously, is speed. So you win some and you lose some I suppose. I do miss Sense 4, I will not lie. The keyboard on Sense 5 however, is vastly superior.
The battery stamina is a bit above my expectations. It will last my entire work day (including my train commute) as long as the screen on time stays relatively low. As long as that happens, I can easily get 13-14 hours. If not, it'll drop down to 7-8 hours.
The One is a unique smartphone in that you get the best design and build quality currently available (although the bezels could definitely be smaller a la Galaxy S4) combined with a completely new approach to an Android UI. It is unlike anything we've seen before and change is good.
This phone is the most amazing piece of technology I've ever seen.
I compared this to a mates Nexus 4, which was supposed to be the best Android ever a few month ago. The HTC One blows it out of the water.
The screen is incredible, the sound quality stunning and the physcial desing is beautiful.
You will not regret buying one. Everyone I've shown it to has been blown away.
Bad Points-
None
Love the HTC One. Great Build, Love Sense 5, Not the same old boreding thing as the Samsung Galaxy S4. I don't even know how to describe this phone that's how good the HTC One is. I tryed the Samsung Galaxy S4 don't like it because I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and it's the same thing as it. All the new features are mostly if your traveling around the world ever 2 days. Which no one in this world does. I would have liked to see a bigger screen on it but it's alright at 4.7 inches. Hope HTC bump up the screen to 5 inches or something like that next year. Or even 5.5 inches! :O I love me a big phone :D. But this will do for now. HTC you have not disappointed me this year like Samsung.
inside but also outside!! yeah , all smartphones now-days so it doesn't matter whether it is an quad-core or octa-core .htc has given it's best shot at the making of an android i-phone and make plastic a thing of the past!!
yes, it might be flexible and less breakable but if the phone falls it is going to break so who care about the plastic.so to conclude , whether the phone is plastic or metal it will break either ways!! so, why not make a phone which is appealing to the consumer ?
