Im sure this review would be much worse if i was basing my opinion on 2.3, yes the design is solid and i like to screen, but with 2.3 it was lag city it was horrible but after putting the ota leaked test build of ICS on, im amazed at how smooth it has become i really am, well done to htc.
The Galaxy S II is a fantastic smartphone, with its large Super AMOLED Plus screen, excellent feature set, and great design. Additionally, it has quad-band GSM and quad-band HSPA+ support, making it useful for traveling all over the globe!
Hands down the Note is the best smartphone available. If u don't mind the size this phone is for u!
This phone has a great S2 Snapdragon processor @1Ghz. It has a great screen 3.7inch. Fits great in the hand. Has a loud speaker, excellent for conference calls. 4G connectivity for fast data downloads. VGA front facing camera which is perfect for Skype and Tango calls. And an awesome 5MP BSI f2.2 camera on the back, which is great for low light stills. All in all, this is perfect device and at an amazing price tag!
Has the best specs for me so far...until those quad cores start showing up. ..
The reception on my Amaze 4g is well ahead of my Samsung Galaxy S 4g. Speeds are awesome with download speeds averaging around 17Mb/s here in Wilmington, NC. Upload varies from 2-3Mb/s.
Even with no bars, with still a data connection i have no problem making calls and downloading crazy fast. My samsung galaxy switches to 2g or gprs crazy fast.
Battery life isn't the best, but about the same as my HD2. Anybody who owned an HTC knows about their subpar battery life. I know that, and keep my cable with me and charge in the car or via my laptop.
Currently, this is the best phone out there
Galaxy note's super Amoled HD display, super fast 1.4 Ghz dual core processor coupled with a 1GB ram for browsing at the speed of light, 8MP camera with an HD video, slim, solidly and eloquently built casing with scratch resistant Gorilla Corning glass, makes this stuff competition-less and the dream phone of the year 2011 and 2012.
The iPhone 4S can do the tasks that you need. It has the most advanced features you'll find and it has apps that you'll most certainly love. If you plan on getting one then it's worth the money.
My only gripe is the battery life but considering Gingerbread isn't optimized for dual core I understand it. Plus I definitely work the phone hard. ICS should make an already great phone even better.
I have 4 t-mobile lines. 3 are smartphones. I love the customer service. I became t-mobile customer after powertell was bought by t-mobile in late 90's... they always offer the cheapest rate and last year my wife while over seas used her blackberry to check her e-mails and was slapped with $600 bill. We called the customer service and they waived the fee.... I love my t-mobile.
Amazing phone, wonderful display, great support for everything just get the extended battery, use wifi and expect 9 hours of life on the extended and 6 on regular it's also fairly durable and 1.5 GHz snap dragon processor preforms great with the 1 GB of ram, if you're a battery hog like me you might be slightly disappointed but that's the trade off for allthe great stuff like 720p resolution and 342 ppi which makes watching movies great also I get an average of 10mps on 4g and I live in an NYC suburb do for the current low price it's a great high end smartphone which should get ics very soon
I really wish Samsung would at least put a metal back like the first gen instead of all plastic, but for the most part the phone is thin and light weight.
I Have had many phones in the past including the first Generation of this phone. and compared to the first generation of the Epic 4G Touch, I'm really pleased with this device ,with it's 1.2Ghz Exynos Processor is quick and Snappy and Just blows any other phone in the Sprint Line up out of the water (for now). The 1800 mah battery really makes it last All day for me and more and that is with out the Power Saving Mode feature on. Hence that's the reason why battery gets a 5. Reception Here in Idaho Falls ,ID is spotty and also the reason why this has a 4. I have owned this phone for the past 3 months and Have not been Disappointed just yet. The 8 Mp camera is a nice addition as well as the 2 mp front facing camera for video calls, I have compared it to the Iphone 4s New camera and Just love how the Epic 4G Touch just takes the pictures(sorry apple fan boys). My thought is if your thinking about going to Sprint, consider this phone because you will not be let down, then again you can wait for the new HTC one line that is heading to Sprint in a couple of months
Best mobile phone ever. Data speeds and screen usability are way better than the iphone. More apps than I could ever want to use.
If you can live with the size, then there is no better device. And with Ice Cream Sandwich on it's way, then it can easily be a great phone or tablet!
All Nokia and WP7 is exposure. Totally happy with the Lumia 710. Elegant interface, fluid os navigation, nice form factor for a mid range phone. Will be buying a high end WP7 when it comes to T-Mobile.
