Today's the day that the iPhone X is hitting buyers' doorsteps, but unfortunately, launch day isn't going smoothly for everyone.
Some iPhone X owners are unable to activate their shiny new smartphone. The issue appears to be affecting AT&T and Verizon customers, with reports surfacing on Reddit and Twitter.
There hasn't been an official statement from Apple or the carriers on this issue, so there's no official solution for those affected by the problem.
If you're unable to activate your iPhone X, you can try simply pressing the "Try Again" button until it works. Other options include restarting your phone and trying to activate after or try plugging your phone into iTunes and activating that way.
It's likely that Apple, AT&T, and Verizon's servers are being slammed with new activations. So if you can wait a few hours, you might have better luck activating your new phone later today. That may be the most frustrating answer to this problem, as I'm sure most new iPhone X owners want to play with their device as soon as possible, but it might be better than sitting and tapping the "Try Again" button over and over and over.
