Just a few months after introducing the LG G6, the folks at LG have introduced an improved version of its Android flagship.
The LG G6+ is now official. This model comes with 128GB of built-in storage, compared to 32GB on the US G6 and 64GB in the Korean G6. Also included are premium B&O Play earphones that’ll help you take full advantage of the 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC found in the G6+.
LG’s new G6+ will also be available in two new colors, Optical Marine Blue and Optical Terra Gold, which LG says have lenticular film on their backs to give them an “optical” effect. These colors will be offered with the G6, too.
Rounding out today’s announcement are some new software features that LG is bringing to the G6. This includes Face Print, which will let you unlock the G6 by holding the phone up to your face, an action that LG says should take less than a second.
Other new software features rolling out to the G6 via software update include a Low Power Consumption mode and a Covered Lens warning that’ll alert you if your fingers are in the frame of a photo before you take it.
