So far this week, we’ve met a new Android Wear smartwatch from Casio and learned that Swarovski will have a smartwatch coming later this year. Now another new Android Wear smartwatch has been revealed by New Balance.
The New Balance Run IQ is a new Android Wear smartwatch targeting at runners. There’s a built-in GPS for tracking your run, Strava for connecting and sharing your workouts with others, a heart rate monitor, and a dedicated LAP button for helping you to track your run time. The Run IQ is also water resistant up to 5 ATM, so it can withstand a run in the rain or a quick swim.
Other features of the Run IQ include a 1.39-inch AMOLED display, Intel processor, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of built-in storage. New Balance says that the battery inside the Run IQ can last during 24 hours of typical use or 5 hours of continuous usage of GPS and heart rate monitoring.
New Balance is now taking pre-orders for the Run IQ at a price of $299.99. The device will begin shipping on February 1.
